The virus initially enters our body through inhaling microdroplets or inoculating ourselves by our contaminated hands. Then the virus first attaches to our throat after that the virus multiplies and migrates to the lower part of the respiratory system like our lungs. 

Our immune system tries to fight the virus off causing fever and headache. 

In severe cases the virus causes lung inflammation making breathing difficult, this is what causes the dry cough. in some severe cases, the virus causes enough damage to the lung that our lungs fill up with fluid causing pneumonia.
